In January 2012 the Disability Resource launched its new service, Smart Office Solutions (SOS).

Building on its longstanding reputation for supporting both the third sector in Birmingham and other agencies and businesses with accessible conference facilities, DRC has expanded the service by offering an even wider package of cost-effective office services for the third sector, small enterprises and independent consultants. Services range from one-off room hire to professional virtual office solutions – all delivered from our high specification office accommodation close to the centre of Birmingham. 

SOS manager Tracey Walton said:

" We believe that being in-tune with the type of support that managers and event organisers need has helped us to develop the service to meet a wide range of needs in a very challenging economic climate. For instance, our tenancy service provides incubator space for small third sector organisations and individual traders, allowing them to lease office space on a short- or long-term basis, with accessible room hire for events and conferences".

"We also provide a Meeting Room Service which provides affordable room hire for events and conferences with plenty of choices in terms of conference and meeting rooms close to Birmingham city centre".

SOS can also offer the hire of an IT suite and all facilities are accessible and have hearing loop systems.
